This summer, for lack of other things to do, I often reverted to self-photography. The first one posted here is a bodyscape of sorts taken after I had accidentally given a private swimming lesson outside at noon in Texas without sunscreen -- I'm so Irish that 45 minutes in the sun almost made me blister. That explains the suit-lines on my back.
The second photograph is rather abstract and is a result of experimentation with tripods and timers. I timed my movement incorrectly and ended up with this interesting result.

The scene: It's early January, and I've just recently received a digital camera. Having never experimented with self-portraiture, I go into a room with a nice big mirror and try it out. Incidentally, this took place the same day as my shadow portraits. My verdict hasn't changed - self-portraiture is still fun.
